The Nevada State Railroad Museum offers train rides every weekend May through September, with select dates in October, November and December.

NOTE: TRAIN RIDES AT THE MUSEUM DO NOT GO TO VIRGINIA CITY.

 

Yellow : Steam Train Operations 

Approximately a 30 minute ride on in a passenger car pulled by a steam engine around the property. During this ride our volunteers will answer questions and provide history on the equipment you are on and the locomotive. You will also get to witness how the crew communicates via hand signals and whistle signals.

 

Green: Edwards Motor Car Operations

Approximately a 30 minute ride aboard the 1926 Edwards Motor Car. This is a self propelled passenger car. This Motor Car has a diesel engine and does not need to be pulled by any other equipment.

Brown: McKeen Motor Car

Approximately a 30 minute ride aboard the only operating McKeen Motor Car in existence out of 152 originally built. Fully restored unique piece of equipment.
