Summer Family Programs 

Come join us!! Families can explore Nevada topics through demonstrations, activities, and art projects Saturday afternoons, 1-5pm, in the Education Room. No registration is required, and programs are free with regular museum admission or membership.

Upcoming programs include:

July 6 – Nevada Artists – See some works of art by local artists, and try out some artistic techniques yourself!
July 13 – Building Nevada – From Hoover Dam to Hyperloop, we’ll explore the past, present, and future of Nevada engineering feats.
July 20 – Showtime! – Las Vegas is world famous for its shows. Explore your inner superstar by making your own headdress, practicing your puppeteering skills, and learning some magic tricks.
July 27 – Silver State Stories – Come sit by the campfire and hear some stories about Nevada. You might even get inspired to write your own story!
August 3 – Triassic Nevada – Nevada wasn’t always a desert! Escape the summer heat by imagining a time when Nevada was at the bottom of a sea ruled by ichthyosaurs.
