Frances Humphrey Lecture Series: Datsolalee: A Washoe Woman’s Legacy to Nevada by Sue Ann Monteleone. This presentation is about how some of the most beautiful baskets came to be made by a Native American woman of great artistic genius. Datsolalee is widely regarded as one of the most innovative, important, and famous basket makers in the world. Sue Ann Monteleone’s research through historical documents, photographs, and study of Datsolalee’s baskets tells the story of this remarkable woman and her Art.
