Nevada Historical Society

Mission

Founded in 1904, the Nevada Historical Society is to advance the heritage of Nevada.  The mission is to collection, preserve, research, exhibition and for educational purposes artifacts, books, photographs, and manuscript materials relating to the state of Nevada, the Great Basin, and the West.

In addition to our own mission, we are guided by the mission, vision, and philosophy, of the Division of Museums and History.
